Three generations on the same street
La Mar has cleaned South Florida's clothes from Pembroke Road since 1962. The industry moved to central plants and drop off counters. We did not, and this is the honest reasoning.
- Founded 1962
- Family run
- All work on premises
- Free pickup and delivery
Owning the plant costs more and is worth it
It would be cheaper to close the plant and become a counter. Most cleaners in South Florida did exactly that, and it is why so many same day promises quietly turn into next day.
We kept the machines, the finishers and the seamstress under one roof on Pembroke Road. It costs more to run, and it is the only reason we can look at a garment twice in one afternoon and get a deadline right.
- Founded in Miramar in 1962
- Still family owned and run
- Dry cleaning and laundry in house
- In house seamstress
- Free collection six days a week
- Eco friendly process
The parts we refuse to give up
Plenty has changed since 1962. These four have not.
Hand inspection
Every garment is looked at by a person before and after cleaning.
Hand spot treatment
Stains are treated individually, not left to a machine cycle to deal with.
Hand finishing
Shoulders, lapels and collars are shaped by hand over a form.
Telling you the truth
If something will not come out, we say so before we take your money.
