Why not just wash it

There is dry cleaning, then there is La Mar dry cleaning

Water destroys delicate fabric. Silk shrinks, wool felts, colours bleed and structured linings lose their shape. Dry cleaning uses a solvent that dissolves oils and stains without water damage. Garments are submerged in liquid, just not water, and the solvent is filtered and distilled continuously so it evaporates clean with no residue.

Most cleaners stop at the machine. We go further, with spot treatment before anything is cleaned, minor repairs at no charge, hand pressing and a final inspection on every single garment.

Our process

What happens to every garment

Exactly what happens from the moment it arrives to the moment it is returned.

Inspect and tag

Every item is checked by hand for stains, loose buttons, tears and fabric type, then tagged and logged so nothing is lost.

Spot treat

Before anything enters a machine, each stain is pre treated individually with a solvent matched to the stain and the fabric.

Clean

Cleaned in our own machines with a solvent that dissolves oil and dirt without water damage, filtered and distilled every cycle.

Press, finish, check

Hand pressed and hand finished, then inspected again. If it is not right it goes back through.

How long does dry cleaning take?

24 to 48 hours for most garments. Same day is available in store, and by pickup on a noon cut off.

Do you repair loose buttons and small tears?

Yes, minor repairs are done as part of the clean at no charge. Larger work is quoted first.

Can you remove a set in stain?

Often, yes. Wine, oil, ink, food, sweat, makeup and grass are the ones we see every day. We tell you honestly what to expect before we start.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum, and pickup and delivery is free across Broward and Miami-Dade.
